Mr K, I have always admired your ability to tell it like it is. I recently completed my collection of Looney Tunes Golden Collection (I assume they'll be putting out a 4th at some point, though they seem to be running out of the good ones) and you give praise where praise is due and criticism where...well you know. I hope to see not just drawings but also your insights on life, cartoons today and those of the past, and insight into the industry. Foremost on my mind is: will there be a Ripping Friends complete DVD collection? I'd pay good money for that. Finally, the idea to plop a PAYPAL donation link on your blog is a good one. Heck you probably have junk around the house you could sell on eBay and promote through your blog to raise funds for a new project. But what the heck do I know?
The world is indeed a much cooler place now that it has a John K blog. I am a huge fan and have been warped forever by your work, these caricatures disturb me and make me laugh in the way only John K can do. Can't wait for more work!
Awesome stuff dude, it's so cool to have access to a blog by such an influential artist like yourself! Very inspirational indeed!!
I, myself, find the "new" Britney a bit scary and you've captured her perfectly. And who could forget "K-Fed"... brillent! It's those shifty eyes man, he's up to something I tells ya!!!
You know those old-timey Merrie Melody cartoons where you'd follow through the crowd of current celebrities in caricature form at the Brown Derby or something? Someone could easily launch a hilarious CN Adult Swim show built around a modern version of that idea. But funny. And as close to current as the DL will allow.
Man, with the right writing staff and the story written in board that could be a wonderful thing.
Oh my GOD That's exactly how I see Renee Zellwegger..she is revolting! Ahahahah!!! Same with Melanie Griffith and Kirsten Dunst..augh I can't stand them..I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
thanks so much man your site is overflowing with brilliant guides and references. it's amazing for kids that want to animate, original and wacky cartoons are so close to the plug hole. but not only cartoons, tv shows/movies.. entertainment in general, what happened!?!!!?!

Clooney and Richie are my favorites. In fact, I really love the huge skull on miss Nicole. Clooney's smile is comically dead-on. Beauty!
Nicole Richie is kinda Ren-like.
I think they are more beautiful than the stars themselves!
just awesomeness u just made a new word my friend hehe
Hey John, how many drawings do you do per day?
love those simple and flowing lines! Time for me to pull out the ol' sketchbook and hit the streets. Thanks for sharing.
Keep 'em coming! I love how grotesque these drawing are.
Cool stuff John.

Great to see you have a blog. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
You perfectly captured how truly frightening Melanie Griffiths looks. These are all great! Your caricatures are this amazing blend of scary and funny.
Beauty is truely in the eye, neck, mouth, ears of the beholder.

What an awesome blog! John K, youse is a genius!
Linkage going up immediately!
Didja ever see Tom Wolfe's drawings from his book IN OUR TIME?
(Yes, TW of Bonfire/Acid/white suit "fame")
There's some interesting stuff there not unlike the figure of who I thought was a overthin Zellweger but who in fact might be Ms. Richie...
The eyelashes and pointy, sapped out dugs.
These are awesome. Your style and their crazy faces/personalities are a great mix.
Dammit John, where can I stuff money to make you animate again?
Also you forgot to sketch the sexiest celebrity of them all.
What? No it's not Jeff Goldblum!
Hey John. Would love for you to get in contact, might be able to throw some commissioned work your way, wanna email me at simonmdt@yahoo.com
